Goodbye Mason!

Our AM class had to say goodbye to Mason this week!  His Dad got a job transfer and so they are moving to Montana.  We gave him a big goodbye group hug.  He will be missed but I am sure he will love Montana!
I had a little bit better picture than this one but we had a Major nose picker in the group and I was pretty sure Mommy wouldn't have appreciated it's publication!  :)

We love you Mason!

Down on our Farm!

This week we learned all about the farm.  We learned which animals liked to stay in the barn and which liked to be in the fields.  We learned the MANY hard things farmers have to do around the farm!  We decided farming is hard work!

We have been putting together a farm book which we will be able to take home at the end of our farm unit.  Until then, we thought you might like to see what we are doing at school.

The AM class book has "I see a ..." on every page.
The PM class book mixes up the pages to help them pay attention to the words.  One page will say "I see a ... " and another page may say "This is a..."
Here are the 3 pages we have made so far.  We still have a little work to do on the piggie (he needs some mud to keep from getting sunburnt!)

We also added some farm activities into our centers this week.

Here are Sei and Mary (AM) Matching farm animals with the food we get from them.

Emma Jade (PM) loved matching the capital and lower case letters
with the farm animal pictures on them.
Eli & Mason (AM) loved the corn sensory bin.  They loved finding letters and putting them on the magnetic pan.

Welcome Dylan!

We found a new friend for our PM class and he joined us this week!  His name is Dylan and he is so much fun!  We are so glad he came!

He was much too busy working to spend a few seconds looking at the camera!

BROWN DAY Bash!

We love brown junk! We had so much it would barely fit on the poster

Connor brought brownies and brown milk for the PM snack!
Sei brought yummy brown doughnuts!  I had a clearer picture of him but in this one he was actually SMILING!  His Mom will appreciate this!
I seriously love how I tell the class to all look at me and they immediately look at their friends!  This was the best out of 5!
 Girls and their poses!

Brown activity - Horses out of a paper plates.
Marcel & Gabby are proud to show off their good work!

Brown playdough ALMOST looks good enough to eat!
